Jiffy was a term used quite a bit in the 1920’s-1940’s, Sometimes in the 1950’s. Don’thear it used much anymore. It basically meant to get something done quickly as in “I’ll get that done in a jiffy.” This particular make of Kodak, made from 1933-1948, was built to open quickly and be ready for action. They are a relatively small camera, and were used by Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, in WWII like the Vest Pocket cameras were used by G.I’s in WWI.
